Children selecting language works

The Western Pennsylvania Montessori School delivers programs for ages 20 months to 6 years of age.

Our program includes the following:

At the age of twenty months children are enrolled in the toddler program which meets three mornings a week from September through early June.

At the age of three, children are enrolled in the three-year program which meets five days a week in morning, afternoon, or all day classes from September through June.

During the Kindergarten year, children are offered a special enriched program. For three days a week the children attend school for a full day in addition to their regular 3 year program.

What Differentiates WPMS?

Our focus is a program based on self-directed, non-competitive activities that will help our children develop good self-images and the confidence to face challenges and change with a positive attitude.

WPMS is the first and oldest Montessori School in our region and as such we have perfected the delivery of the Montessori Method to the age groups we serve.

Parent involvement is encouraged and fostered through year-long opportunities to participate in the classroom, attend fun events, and volunteer in various ways around the school.
