The annual Freedom 5K plus 1-mile family fun walk is back again for its third year. This year the event will be held at North Park – Harmar Pavilion/Pie Traynor Loop. Follow signs to the pool where parking is available in the pool lot.
Join us for a morning filled with healthy activities for the kids and adults, 1 mile fun walk and 5K run and event day Chinese and Silent auctions.

8:45 am: Event day registration and pre-registered check-in opens
9:10 am: Healthy Fitness Fun with Mr. Mike Chmielewski and Mrs. Sharon Shearer, two Shaler area school district physical education teachers.
9:30 am: Walk begins and will be led by Hampton VFD #1 fire truck
10:00 am: 5K Run Starts
10:30 am: Children’s Activities
11:00 am: Auction winners announced
11:15 am: Awards ceremony

Join us for an overview of the All Day Program (Red Room) and take a visual walk through the classroom. Meet the teachers and other parents. This event is information for new families . However, returning parents are welcome.
This event is a parent only event. Unfortunately, childcare is not available.
Each new All Day/Red Room student will have an individual “peek” visit to see the classroom and meet the teachers. You will receive your specific scheduled time via email before 8/29/13.
One Parent/Caregiver may accompany the child. The visit will last 15-20 minutes.
Join us for an overview of the AM and PM Half Day Programs and take a walk through the classrooms. Meet the teachers and other parents. This event is information for new families . However, returning parents are welcome. During this orientation new parents will receive their child’s ROOM assignment.

New All Day/Red Room students will arrive at 8:30 AM. Teachers will give individual and small group lessons on how to use the materials in the practical life and sensorial areas of the classroom. The children will begin to learn the ground rules of the all day/red room classroom. Parents should pack their child’s favorite foods for lunch from 11:30 – 12. Please do not pack an ice pack as the children will place their perishable foods in the classroom refrigerator first thing in the morning. Dismissal is at 2:30 PM at the end of recess for this half day orientation.
Returning Students of the All Day/Red Room will be on full schedule for their first day back to school. Parents pack a lunch and the child will place all perishables in the refrigerator at arrival.
The children will see what is the same and what is different in their classroom for the new school year and also how they will mentor/guide the new students.
