September – December 2013
Each new Toddler student will have an individual “peek” visit to see the classroom and meet the teachers. You will receive your specific scheduled time from Mrs. Lankes.
One Parent/Caregiver may accompany the child. The visit will last 15-20 minutes.
Extended Day/Kindergarten students will attend their morning sessions, eat their home packed lunch, enjoy play with their classmates, and then join their teacher, Mrs. Thornton for their first session of extended Day. Today only this class will be dismissed at 2:15 PM. Because this is an early dismissal for non Red Room children, parents of yellow and blue room students are responsible for transportation as the buses will pick up at 3:15 only. Red Room students will follow their normal dismissal schedule.
Join us for an overview of the Toddler Program and take a visual walk through the classroom. Meet the teachers and other parents. This event is information for new families . However, returning parents are welcome.
This event is a parent only event. Unfortunately, childcare is not available.
The Extended Day/Kindergarten Class begins their full schedule. All the students who ride the bus home will be picked up today at 3:15.
Follow the assigned time that you received from the Toddler teacher.
Fall Festival 2013
This year’s Fall Festival will be circus themed and will feature lots of fun, great food, and a magician. Please wear WPMS shirts if you have them. Also, we are running a canned goods and non-perishable drive for North Hills Community Outreach. Please bring those items with you to the festival.

At the parent meeting you will learn about the four main areas of all Montessori classrooms (practical life, sensorial, math and language). As you arrive you will be placed in a group and you will rotate with your group from room to room so that you can experience the materials, the environments and hear from each teacher.
The meeting is a wonderful opportunity to meet other families, learn more about Montessori 3-6 programs and experience the ‘work’ that your child is (will be) involved with daily.
This event is for both new and returning parents. Please RSVP to the office by calling 412-487-2700. Childcare will be provided for this meeting, but please call to reserve a spot for your children.
Parents of potential WPMS kindergarten students will hear about the program from the teacher, the school head and from parents. Come to hear:”Why is it so beneficial to have your child finish the Montessori 3-6 process!?” Childcare is available
School will be closed for Winter Holiday until 1/2/14
