Marketing Communications Internship

Our internship program runs year-long – Fall semester, Winter/Spring semester and over the Summer. In the application form below, please indicate which semester you are seeking.

Internship Description

We are currently seeking a junior or senior (undergraduate) or masters level student for a marketing internship opportunity. The time commitment would be 15-20 hours per week. The primary responsibility of the marketing intern will be to support the marketing and communications efforts of the school. A few duties include:

  • Updating the school’s website periodically
  • Writing articles for the website’s blog section
  • Drafting marketing communication pieces like fliers and handouts
  • Assisting with social media research and posting
  • Assisting board committees with marketing and communications efforts
  • Event planning assistance


  • Professional, entrepreneurial, excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for marketing and communications
  • Able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of WordPress (specifically editing content, adding pictures)
  • Adept at research and problem solving
  • Familiar with social media channels and tools
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Your own laptop is preferred

If hired, you need the following clearances:

  • Child abuse clearance via ChildLine,
  • A PA State Police criminal history clearance
  • A FBI criminal history clearance obtained from the Department of Public Welfare’s contractor Cogent.

WPMS will cover the cost for these clearances.
